Fantastic stay in record breaking heat
We had a fabulous few nights stay. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful and the hotel is perfectly positioned just behind the river windrush and central in the village. Everything is an easy walk to restaurants, tea rooms or pubs although the hotel has great food and a lovely quiet garden away from the very busy river side places. Our room (8) was very large and spacious with a large bathroom with walk in shower. We stayed during the record heatwave and despite the heat outside the room was cool thanks to the staff keeping the curtains shut for us. The hotel has parking and we managed to get a space with no problem. All in all I would highly recommend and we will certainly be back!

Reception staff
The two reception staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful, kind and friendly. The hotel location is excellent, room 6 was very good and the food was delicious.

We require the first night to be paid at the time of booking before you arrive.
Any cancellations must be made up to 48 hours before the arrival date. All bookings cancelled after this time will not receive a refund.

Party bookings of 8 rooms or more will need to give 30 days notice of any cancellations to receive a refund. The balance is also payable at this time.

Cheltenham Race Festival- We require 28 days notice if you wish to cancel. Bookings cancelled after this time will not receive a refund.

Our Family rooms are for 2 adults and 1 or 2 children sharing. For bookings of more than 2 adults there will be an additional charge of £10 per adult, per night.

Check in is from 3pm to 8pm. Please note that there is no night porter. Arrivals beyond 9pm should be coordinated with us to ensure that someone is on hand when you arrive.

If you would like to dine with us please book in advance of your stay as we cannot guarantee a table on the day.We recommend booking at least 1 week before your stay. Our restaurant is open from 11.30am until 8.30pm. To reserve a table please call the hotel on 01451 820286 or email info@chesterhousehotel.com. You can also book online through our website.

Car Parking

We have parking for18 cars but we have 22 rooms, so we offer parking on a first come first served basis. Please ensure you park with a number in the middle of your car and that your car is parked nice and straight! You will need a permit from reception to put in your car. We do our upmost to accommodate as many cars as possible but if there are no spaces please ask at Reception and we can point you in the direction of 2 public carparks close to the hotel. Please let us know before your arrival if you require a disabled parking space and we can arrange this for you.
